The CAN.HEAL project will hold its final meeting on 27 March 2025 at the BIP Meeting Center in Brussels, with an option to participate online. The meeting will serve as a platform for presenting the final results, lessons learned, and recommendations derived from the project’s work on public health genomics and cancer diagnostics. The event will bring together consortium members and external stakeholders to discuss the implications of these findings for European healthcare policies and frameworks.
Agenda
The primary objective of the final meeting is to disseminate the outcomes of CAN.HEAL’s research and implementation efforts. The agenda includes:
- Public Health Genomics: Lessons learned and policy recommendations (WP4–WP6)
- Cancer Diagnostics and Treatment: Advances in precision medicine, next-generation sequencing (NGS), and liquid biopsy (WP7–WP10)
- Evidence-Based Future: Insights from WP14 on sustainability and long-term impact
- Implementation and Innovation: Key developments in NGS, ethical-legal-social implications (ELSI), and training (WP11–WP13)
- CAN.HEAL Cluster Roadbook: Integration with broader EU initiatives, sustainability strategies, and collaboration with stakeholders
A poster session during the lunch break will feature project deliverables and use cases, providing further insights into the key achievements of the project.
Cluster Roadbook and Future Integration
The meeting will also include a cluster-building exercise, aimed at aligning CAN.HEAL’s outputs with ongoing European health initiatives, including the Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan (EBCP), the Mission on Cancer (MoC), and the Digital Europe Programme (DigEU). The CAN.HEAL Cluster Roadbook will outline concrete steps for future collaboration and policy integration, ensuring that project results contribute to sustainable improvements in cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
